CIBS Celebrates Ladies’ Day
The Cosmetic Industry Buyers and Suppliers (CIBS) association hosted its annual Ladies’ Day spring luncheon in New York City in May.
More than 900 attendees were present. For the event, CIBS collaborated with New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology, whose students created displays featuring customized mannequins.

MeadWestvaco Corp. (MWV) has pro- moted Olivier Trevidic to director of folding carton sales for North America. The di- vision is within MWV’s beauty and personal care division.
Trevidic has worked in the packaging industry for more than 20 years. Before joining MWV in 2007, he was vice president of sales for carton supplier Cartondruck (Obersulm, Germany).

Topline Products Company, Inc., has added two key positions to its staff. Kathy Kordowski, formerly with Avon Products Inc., has been named vice president of operations. Kordowski was instrumental in globalizing the Avon beauty product line by harmonizing package specifications, creating global standards, and leveraging global sourcing. In 2003, she was honored as HBA Global Expo’s packaging executive of the year.
Ralph DeVito has also joined the company, as director of product design and development. He has more than 20 years of technical cosmetic packaging and development experience, and most recently worked for Risdon International.
