Industry News: CPC Packaging Welcomes New Editorial Board Members

Jon Dinapoli has been creative director at Coty Prestige for four years. Dinapoli is in charge of creative development for brands such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, and Kenneth Cole, and previously, Marc Jacobs. In addition to working directly with celebrities to launch their brands, Dinapoli oversees everything from Coty Prestige’s primary and secondary packaging design and development to in-store merchandising, advertising, product photography, gift sets and promotions, public relations kits, and event designs. Prior to joining Coty, Dinapoli worked at MAC Cosmetics for four years and Donna Karan Cosmetics for two years. He is a graduate of Northeastern University.
Henry Renella, senior vice president of global package development for The Estée Lauder Companies, started his career in the pharmaceutical industry. He also worked in the household products industry and holds several design and utility patents for package components and delivery systems. In 2000, he joined Estée Lauder, working on the brand’s treatment products. Next, he served as executive director for Origins Natural Resources, then vice president of Aramis & Designer Fragrances and Specialty Brands, and following that, vice president of the Estée Lauder division. In 2006, he was promoted to his current position. Renella has an undergraduate degree in management from St. Thomas Aquinas College and an MBA in management from Long Island University. He is also a Certified Packaging Professional (CPP).
Scott Widro, vice president of manufacturing and materials management for Chanel, began his packaging career 31 years ago. He has been with Chanel since 1993 and is in charge of manufacturing, industrial chemistry/compounding, purchasing, package development, package engineering, production planning, inventory management, subcontract manufacturing, and new product management. Prior to joining Chanel, Widro worked for The Estée Lauder Companies for eight years, as well as for Calvin Klein Cosmetics. Widro has been married to his wife, Barbara, for 33 years and has two sons, Jonathan and Jeffrey, and a dog named Sammy.
