Industry News: Association Advises Case-by-Case Assessment of Bioplastics
European Bioplastics, an association representing manufacturers, processors, and users of bioplastics, recently released a paper discussing the life cycle assessment (LCA) of bioplastics.
In its paper, the association advised that LCAs for biopolymers should be individualized because the life cycle of a bioplastic can be affected by various factors, including recovery through differing waste management systems. Read more about the paper at www.european-bioplastics.org.
