Industry News: Monadnock Paper Mills Joins EPA’s Climate Leaders Program
Monadnock Paper Mills (Bennington, NH) has become one of the first small businesses to join the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Leaders program. By participating in the program, Monadnock pledges to reduce its corporate-wide greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
The Climate Leaders program is an EPA industry-government partnership that works with companies to develop comprehensive climate-change strategies. Partnering companies commit to reducing their impact on the environment by completing a corporate-wide inventory of their GHG emissions determined by a third-party-audited environmental management system. The companies then set aggressive reduction goals and annually report their progress to the EPA.
