Business Beat: Award Winners!
Several beauty packages were recently awarded in packaging competitions held by DuPont and the Glass Packaging Institute (GPI).
Dupont’s 20th Awards for Packaging Innovation
Cargo Cosmetics’ sustainable PlantLove lipstick container is made from 100% recyclable corn-based polylactic acid (PLA) resin. The lipstick’s carton is made from paper pulp that contains flower seeds that sprout when the carton is planted in soil.
GPI’s Clear Choice Awards
Avon Anew Clinical products received the award for its sophisticated glass bottle shapes and label coatings that convey a luxurious image. Supplier Vitro Packaging sprayed flint-glass bottles with a white powder coating and then used organic silver for the labeling.
CEW’s Insider’s Choice Awards
