Attachable Vial
A supplier’s sample-sized fragrance vials are now available with a loop that allows the vials to attach to items such as promotional cards. The supplier calls the new package EasyLink. EasyLink is available with two types of vials: the supplier’s Easy Cap and Easy Spray vials. The Easy Cap vial features a cap with a built-in stem that customers can use to directly apply fragrance to the skin. The Easy Spray vial is topped with a sprayer. Valois, Congers, NY.
Pouches
Unit-dose pouches are manufactured from Saran Wrap film, which offers high barrier properties. The pouches protect products from oxygen, water, and oil. Sizes range from 0.25 to 90 ml, and colors include clear, white, and black. Color printing can be done in up to five colors, and metallic hot-stamping is also available. Fragrance Sampler
Coty’s Davidoff brand chose a supplier’s Sof’Twist sample package for its Cool Water Wave travel fragrance kit. A 2-ml glass vial topped with the supplier’s SP5 Sofilux pump was inserted into a refillable plastic case. When customers twist the bottom of the case, the vial rises, similar to the way a lipstick bullet elevates in a lipstick case. Customers can then spray on the fragrance. Specialty Swabs
Cotton swabs are designed to dispense various types of liquid. Liquid is prefilled and housed in the swab’s stem. Standard swabs are available for water-based liquids.
