Show Coverage: EastPack 2007
At EastPack, attendees will find the latest packaging developments as well as CPC Packaging’s Editors’ Choice Awards display.On June 12–14, cosmetic and personal care packaging professionals will flock to EastPack, the East Coast’s largest packaging trade show. At the show, attendees will find the latest beauty packaging from a host of suppliers.
The show’s Cosmetic and Personal Care Packaging Pavilion will cater to beauty product marketers. In this pavilion, visitors will find the latest designs for bags, cartons, jars, tubes, compacts, closures, and dispensers, as well as packaging machinery and services. Also on display will be the winning packages of CPC Packaging magazine’s 2007 Editors’ Choice Awards. A mini sprayer is suited for products such as body spray, breath spray, and air fresheners. When users squeeze the Emsar Squeeze Mist, air mixes with product to deliver a fine-mist spray. Clamshell Alternative

Paperboard products, including blister cards, folding cartons, clamshell inserts, sleeves, and specialty displays, are offered by a supplier of carded products. In addition, the firm’s EcoLogical packaging line was created to remove significant amounts of packaging materials from the waste stream and to use 100% recycled materials when possible. Label Solutions

A company prints shrink sleeves and neckbands for uniquely shaped bottles and multipacks; pressure-sensitive and nonpressure-sensitive labels; flexible packaging for packets, pouches, sachets, and blister pack backings; and clamshell inserts. Jar, Closure

For a high-end appearance, a supplier designed an injection-molded jar with a flush-fitting closure. The flush fit is achieved by the use of multilead threads. The clarity of the package’s polypropylene is better than high-density polyethylene and is as good as PET, according to the company.
