Unit-Dose Tubes
Unit-dose tubes suited for liquids and creams are manufactured from Saran Wrap. Offered in a variety of shapes, the tubes are available in clear, white, or black. Tube sizes range from 0.5 to 90 cm3. An easy-to-tear tip makes opening the tube convenient. Product is dispensed through a channel and an iris tip. When customers squeeze the tube, the channel opens, and when they stop squeezing the tube, the channel closes to protect the remaining product. Unit Pack Company, Inc., Cedar Grove, NJ.
Metallic Pigments
Single-use tubes can be provided with colorful, metallic pigmentation. PrismaMetallic tubes are available in sizes ranging from 2 to 30 ml. The tubes can be printed end to end with overall color and graphics. Both the tip and the butt of the tube can be custom shaped. Stand-Up Xela Packs
Two sizes have been added to a supplier’s stand-up Xela Pack line. The new 5-ml stand-up Xela Pack is ideal for packaging 2 to 5 ml of high-end products that require only a small amount for customers to sample properly. Also new, the 10-ml size can be used to package 6 to 10 ml of product. Like all Xela Pack sample packages, the environmentally friendly stand-up Xela Packs are 75% paper constructed and have a self-closing orifice that makes them ideal for single- and multidose sampling applications. Twist ‘n’ Do
A unit-dose package is designed to deliver a premetered dose of a liquid, cream, or gel product. The Twist ‘n’ Do package is available with a variety of applicator options. Promoting Packettes
Packettes can be decorated using a supplier’s 10-color award-winning flexographic printing technique. The packettes can be designed as magazine inserts, hangtags, and direct mailers. Travel-Friendly Ampules
For a travel kit, skin care brand Organics101 chose a firm’s resealable ampules. The supplier provided 5-ml reclosable ampules connected in strips of five. As a contract packager, the supplier was also able to simultaneously fill each five-ampule strip with five different products of various viscosities.
