This spring, the Jemma Kidd Make Up School cosmetics line will make its U.S. debut at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. The brand was founded by Jemma Kidd, a makeup artist and entrepreneur who also happens to be a British countess.
Jemma Kidd Make Up products are designed to be easy to use, thanks to user-friendly packaging and step-by-step application instructions. To complement the line, Kidd designed stylish cosmetic cases for brushes, tweezers, and other cosmetic products. The cases are made from pink PVC with a faux-leather finish. They were manually assembled by Anisa International Inc.
Grace Fodor, managing director for Jemma Kidd Make Up School, says that Kidd liked Anisa’s packages because they are compact, easy to carry, and they protect the products well. “There is a consistency and continuity throughout the whole [packaging] range. These items fit in with the overall look, which is contemporary, professional, and premium,” Fodor adds.
The linings of the cosmetic cases are custom printed with colorful stripes to match the brand’s color scheme. The Jemma Kidd logo was debossed on the PVC.
Luxury Body Sprays

The past few years have seen high-profile body spray launches for mass-market brands such as Axe. Recently, Anthony Logistics for Men introduced its first line of body sprays targeting the upscale market. “It’s the first-ever body spray on the market in the prestige arena,” says Anthony Sosnick, the brand’s founder. “We decided our market could use something like this.”
Instead of using aerosol cans, which are favored by many body spray brands, Sosnick chose an upscale, custom-molded rectangular glass bottle. Like the rest of Anthony Logistics packaging, the bottle was designed to be easy for men to use. “The bottle has an arch in the back, so it fits very easily into the palm of a man’s hand—as do our larger-sized tubes and bottles,” says Sosnick. “I wanted it to be sturdy, simple, and straightforward.” The bottle was supplied by Brosse USA.
The body sprays are sold in four different scents at Bath and Body Works and Nordstrom stores. “They’ve been selling phenomenally well and have been beating our expectations,” says Sosnick. For Horse Lovers

Patrick Etchaubard has helped many fragrance brands make their fragrance bottle designs a reality. Before recently retiring from the position, Etchaubard served as president of glass bottle supplier Bormioli Luigi Glass Co. Etchaubard has taken on a new venture, launching his own fragrance called Nuzzle, which was designed with equestrians in mind.
“This was a project I’d always wanted to do,” says Etchaubard. “Everyone in my family has been riding horses for many years. Because of my experience in the packaging industry, it was easy to develop the packaging.”
Leslie Molinari is vice president of sales and marketing for Beauté Marketing Inc., the company Etchaubard founded that licenses the Nuzzle brand. She adds, “Patrick wanted to develop a fragrance that recognized the female equestrian. In this country, females dominate this sport, yet they often don’t get the same recognition that men get.”
Nuzzle’s 1.7-oz clear glass bottle is a stock design supplied by Bormioli Luigi. The heart-shaped Nuzzle logo, which features two nuzzling horses, was silk-screened on the bottle. The cap was supplied by LeGift Inc., a packaging-components company headed by Etchaubard’s wife Beatrice Caboche. The dispenser was supplied by Rexam Dispensing Systems. As an added touch, a small rhinestone horseshoe-shaped charm is attached to each Nuzzle bottle. Customers can affix this charm to a bracelet or a chain, or the charm can even be attached to a riding spur or a horse’s mane, says Molinari.
“We wanted the packaging to be sophisticated, but to be able to attract teens and adult customers alike,” says Molinari.
Nuzzle is sold at tack shops, various boutiques, as well as on the brand’s Web site. To give back to the equine community, portions of Nuzzle’s sales are sent to Habitat for Horses, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of horses.
