Hans-Claudio von Kameke Hans-Claudio von Kameke has been named managing director for supplier DieterBakicEnterprises. DieterBakicEnterprises specializes in standard packaging solutions for cosmetic, fragrance, treatment, and color cosmetic products. As managing director, von Kameke will be responsible for purchasing, marketing, sales, and strategic business development for the company.
Cosmetic packaging distributor Continental Glass and Plastic has changed its name to Continental Packaging Solutions.
“We’ve grown exponentially over the past five years alone, and we’ve truly become a world-class packaging company,” said Mark Giesen, the firm’s president and CEO. “The world of packaging today is about much more than just glass and plastic.”
Among other items, the company supplies tubes, packettes, dispensers, jars, closures, and bottles.
In addition to its name change, the company has changed the location of its headquarters. The new address is 230 W. Monroe St., Chicago, IL 60606.

IntraPac Group has appointed Maribel Vargas to the position of executive vice president of the company, as well as president of IntraPac’s Costa Rican operations, including Envases Comerciales (Envasa) S.A. IntraPac is a supplier of laminate, plastic laminate, aluminum, and tin tubes; and plastic jars, bottles, and closures.
Paperboard company M-real Corp. has announced John Sarik as technical service manager for M-real USA’s consumer packaging division. Sarik will focus on developing the technical marketing of M-real’s folding-carton business. He will also play a supporting role in its corrugated business.

The DSI Group (Maspeth, NY), a designer and manufacturer of displays and fixtures for the retail merchandising environment, has added Mindy Kaufman and Mark Zambratto as vice presidents. Kaufman will direct the company’s marketing efforts to the cosmetics industry.

Package design firm Anthem Worldwide (Chicago) has named Scott Hardy creative director of its Chicago office. Among other projects Anthem handles, the company designed the packaging for Albertsons’ new Equaline brand. n
CIBS Tavern on the Green Luncheon
The Cosmetic Industry Buyers and Suppliers (CIBS) association celebrated at one of the association’s most popular events, its annual Tavern on the Green luncheon. More than 1050 attendees were present at the meet-and-greet event, which was held on July 14 at the New York City restaurant.
