Pamela G. Bailey has been named the new president and CEO of the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association (CTFA; Washington, DC). Prior to accepting the position at CTFA, Bailey served as president and CEO of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed). Bailey succeeds E. Edward Kavanaugh, who has retired after 22 years as CTFA’s president and CEO.
- Patrick Etchaubard has left his position as president of Bormioli Luigi USA’s fragrance bottle division (Horsham, PA). Etchaubard worked for the company for 15 years. He plans to continue working in the cosmetic and fragrance industry.
- Bill Johnstone has been appointed senior vice president of operations for label supplier Fort Dearborn Co. (Niles, IL). Most recently, Johnstone served as the vice president and general manager for RR Donnelley. The company also announced Jeff Brezek as senior vice president of sales. Previously, Brezek served as vice president of corporate sales for RR Donnelley.
- Richard DeRosa has been named senior vice president of operations for Intrapac Inc.’s (Don Mills, ON, Canada) Swedesboro division. Intrapac specializes in laminate, plastic, aluminum, and tin tubes; jars; bottles; and closures.
- Glass packaging supplier Owens-Illinois (Toledo, OH) has renamed itself O-I. Under the name change, the company’s 22 subsidiaries will be branded O-I. The name change reflects the company’s focus to leverage its global capabilities.
- Howard Kaneff announced his retirement as chairman of folding carton supplier Arkay Packaging Corp. (New York City). Howard will assume the title of chairman emeritus, while Mitchell Kaneff will serve as the new chairman and CEO. In other company news, Walter Shiels has been promoted to COO. Previously, Shiels served as executive vice president of Arkay for more than 30 years. He will oversee the manufacturing operations of the company’s New York facilities in Hauppauge and Long Island, as well as its facilities in Roanoke, VA..
