Mascara Bottles
Bottles were designed for Christian Dior's DiorShow mascaras. The large, glossy polypropylene bottles were produced in black and white. Decoration includes UV lacquering and hot-stamped graphics. A custom-designed low-density-polyethylene wiper was added. The anodized-aluminum cap features a custom-designed black acetal rod and an extra-large natural nylon brush to thicken, lengthen, and curl eyelashes. Techpack-Henlopen, New York, NY.
Sprayer
A stock trigger-style sprayer adorns the bottle for Hawaiian Tropic's Barbie Sunblock Lotion. The sprayer was supplied in a small size to accommodate a child's small hands. The nozzle and inner components were supplied in bright pink. Purple and transparent pink colors were used to decorate the rest of the sprayer. Saint-Gobain Calmar, Barcelona, Spain.
Aluminum Components
An aluminum cap and base adorn the 50- and 100-ml fragrance bottles for Swiss Army For Her. The two-piece spray-through cap features an aluminum shell that is debossed with text, and an embossed plastic piece. The shiny aluminum base snaps onto the bottom of the bottle. Axilone USA, New York, NY.
Lipstick Containers
Lipstick containers with matte gold bases were fashioned for the Rouge Connection lipstick line by Bourjois Paris. A bubbly texture was added to the bases using the supplier's proprietary surface treatment. Iridescent two-piece caps were produced in 24 colors to match each of the lipstick's shades. Brushed-Aluminum Can
A metal aerosol can was provided for Conair's Aquelle Marine Therapy System Sea-Foam Mousse. To add luster and texture, a sea green brushed-aluminum finish was applied. The can's slim contour is an ergonomic design. CCL Container, Aerosol Div., Norwalk, CT.
Mascara Package
A stock package was supplied for Avon's Sparklin' Lash mascara. The transparent 0.25-oz bottle clearly displays the product. Graphics were hot-stamped in black. A rod and a brush are attached to the blue polypropylene cap. Risdon-AMS, Watertown, CT.
Labels
Two labels were supplied for Nickelodeon's RugRats wipes by Rockline Industries. The decorative self-adhesive label on the package's flip-style lid was lithographically varnished and printed with graphics in five colors. The label under the flip-style lid serves as a seal that keeps the product fresh until the package is opened. Walsall Print Co., a div. of Walsall Print Group, Walsall, UK.
Cream Jar
A supplier's 150-ml stock Favorit cream jar houses L'Oréal Garnier's Body Cocoon, Body Tonic, and Fructis-Style products. The injection-molded polypropylene jar was customized with a polyethylene foam insert that is designed to protect the product. The translucent jar was provided in green, orange, and yellow, and UV silk-screened with five-color graphics. RPC Bramlage GmbH, Lohne, Germany.
Round Compact
A round compact with a clear lid houses the Mineral Blush by Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics. The compact's base was UV-sprayed with a matte silver finish and a clear coating.
