A carton with a die-cut window was designed for Vermont Soapworks' handmade bar soaps. Fashioned without a cover, the window allows customers to see, smell, and touch the product. Tinted Cap
A transparent cap with a tinted top adorns the bottles for Perry Ellis's Perry Man and Perry Woman fragrances. Through biinjection molding, a colored lens was melded to the top of a cap made of transparent heavy-walled Surlyn. The lens was created in orange for Perry Man and in red for Perry Woman. Mascara Package
A bottle and a wand were custom molded from dark blue polypropylene for Avon's Curl-Ascious mascara. The 0.25-oz bottle was hot-stamped with gold-foil graphics. Varnished Labels
Pastel green labels were printed with dark green graphics for the June Jacobs Spa Collection line. Designed to feel soothing and organic, the varnished labels and the green packages are color-matched. The labels adorn the line's bottles, cartons, jars, and tubes. Acrylic Compact
An acrylic compact was designed to resemble an ice cube for Estée Lauder's Pure Color eye shadow line. The compact was injection-molded from the supplier's Oroglas HFI 7 acrylic resin and shaped with precise edges and flat walls of different thicknesses. In addition to resisting abrasion, the Oroglas resin features a crystalline transparency that does not fade over time. Atofina, Paris, France.
Chrome Cap
A chrome spray cap was attached to the bottom of the bottle for Montblanc's Presence d'une Femme fragrance. The cap was created in a slightly different design for each of the bottle sizes of 30, 50 (pictured), and 75 ml. The bottle was fashioned with an even glass distribution by Saint-Gobain Desjonquères (Courbevoie, France). Auriplast, a div. of Qualipac, France.
Opaque Bottles
Opaque glass bottles house Avon's Soy Edamame and Soy Milk fragrance sprays. Cylindrically shaped, the bottle was supplied in a 50-ml size. The bottle for Soy Edamame is printed with green and white graphics, while the white Soy Milk bottle features gold and white graphics. Luigi Bormioli Corp., Langhorne, PA.
Custom Tube
A 5-oz low-density polyethylene tube was custom created for the Jaqua Girls' Coffee Body Scrub. Graphics are offset-printed with precise registration in six colors. Flower Stem Shape
A bottle created for the Florentyna fragrance by Marks & Spencer is shaped liked a flower stem. Designed without a base, the 25-ml bottle was blow-molded from glass. Perfect Valois UK Ltd. (Milton Keynes, UK) provided the atomizer pump. A rose-shaped cap supplied by VR Plastics Ltd. (Nottingham, UK) in anodized aluminum, polypropylene, and Surlyn tops off the package. Metal Components
Metal components were provided for products by Botanics Cosmetics. For the Botanics Fresh Faced Foundation, a light-green metallic screw-on cap was supplied with a polypropylene inner piece and a spatula. For the Botanics Tear Friendly Lash Colour mascara, a metal container and a wand were provided by the supplier's alliance partner, Geka-Brush GmbH (Bechhofen, Germany). Toly Products USA, Edison, NJ.
Glass Flacons
Clear glass flacons showcase the Authentic and Cool Contact aftershave products by West Life. The tapered flacon for Authentic was created with a wider base. Decorations include a recessed diagonal band, grooved bands around the flacon's base, and beige and dark blue ceramic-screen-printed graphics. The flacon for Cool Contact has wide shoulders and sides, a slimmer middle, and dark blue and gray ceramic-screen-printed graphics. Gerresheimer Glas AG, Düsseldorf, Germany.
Color Packaging
A supplier's subsidiary companies provided several stock packages for Marks & Spencer's Enhance color cosmetics. The packages supplied include a tottle by Techpack-Decoplast, metal and slim-line lipstick cases by IMC-Techpack, and a mascara container by Benson-Techpack. For an elegant look, the matte-gold packages were decorated with dark red accents. Techpack Group, Chevilly-Larue, France.
Plastic Jar
An upscale-looking plastic jar houses TerraNova's Shea Butter Tresses-To-Toes Amazing Moisture Remedy Cream. The 6-oz PETG jar was provided from a supplier's 100MM Colt-ainer low-profile jar line. The Colt-ainer jar is also available in sizes of 8, 10, and 12 oz, in such materials as GPS, PETG, and SAN. Colt's Plastics Company, Inc., Dayville, CT.
Frosted Jar
A 2-oz frosted stock jar was customized for Aloette Cosmetics' Restorative Enzyme Peel exfoliator. To protect the jar's glass, a UV-frosted coating was applied. A 0.5-oz version of the stock jar was also supplied for Aloette's Eye Restore Complex cream in an acid-frosted finish. Rectangular Bottle
The rectangular bottle for Estée Lauder's Intuition for Men cologne is fashioned with a smooth, organic contour. The bottle was created in sizes of 50 and 100 ml. To convey a rich, sensual feel, the amber bottle was decorated with a copper stripe on its base. Auriplast (France) supplied the overcap, and Risdon-AMS (Watertown, CT) provided the spray pump.
