A stock stick package was supplied for Boots Botanics Fresh Faced Foundation Stick. The airtight metal stick is designed to keep products from drying out. The cap of the Boots stick is anodized in dark green matte-finish aluminum; the base is a lighter shade of green. Dark grayish-green graphics are silk-screened on the base. Sample-Sized Dispenser
A 4-ml pump package is suited for dispensing viscous lotions and gels. It was chosen for the Diminish Anti-Wrinkle Retinol Treatment and WhiteLight Brightening Essence products by Estée Lauder, and for Yves Saint Laurent's Énergie Teint liquid foundation. When the pump of the Sof'Push package is pressed, a piston pushes against the product, raising it for distribution through the nozzle. Resin Cap
The cap for the Samsara Ritual Bath and Shower Gel by Guerlain of France was molded from a supplier's copolyester resin. The scratch-resistant, high-gloss Eastar copolyester was molded by MT Packaging (Plouhinec, France). The resin was color-matched red to Guerlain's specifications. Eastman Chemical Co., Kingsport, TN.
Super-Low-Profile Pump
A super-low-profile pump with a translucent actuator and a gray-colored insert was customized for the 11-, 15-, and 30-ml bottles of American Original fragrance by Coty Beauty. Laminate Tube
A 22-mm-diam laminate tube created for Johnson & Johnson's Roc Labs Retinol cream is designed to look like medical product packaging. A transparent polyethylene coating on the tube's surface allows the tube's aluminum layer to show through. Graphics are hot-stamped and flexographically printed. Lipstick Case
The cover of the Dior Addict lipstick case is designed to resemble a perfume bottle. Made of high-density resin, the cover is molded with "invisible" joints and has a gold ornament on the top. The semitransparent, metallic finish is achieved using the supplier's patented Metareflect technology. Layers of atoms are vacuum coated onto the surface in a finish thin enough to be semitransparent while reflecting light for a metallic effect. The Dior logo is engraved on the surface, and gold-colored decorations are hot-stamped on the cover's edge. Rexam Reboul, Paris, France.
Colorful Cartons
Solid bleached sulfate paperboard cartons were wrapped in laminated paper for 2001 holiday promotional gift sets for Davidoff Cool Water Woman and Davidoff Cool Water for men. The paper was laminated with Aurora special effect film and finished with an acrylic topcoat. The Cool Water Woman carton is covered with light blue paper laminated with red-green film. Blue-green film was used to laminate the blue paper for the Cool Water for men carton. The bottom of the cartons is covered with silver acrylic foil. Engelhard Corp., Iselin, NJ.
Cedar Box
A cedar box was created for a 2001 Christmas gift set for Kenzo fragrances Kenzo pour Homme, Parfums d'Eté, L'Eau par Kenzo, Kenzo de Kenzo, and FlowerbyKenzo. The box has a polystyrene sliding door with a rough-textured finish and silk-screened graphics. A die-cut foam insert keeps contents securely in place. Dapy Paris, New York, NY.
