Injection-molded stock and custom compacts are created using such design technologies as 3-D modeling, 2-D solid modeling, computer-assisted design, and plastic flow analysis. Translucent Packages
Translucent stock packages in round and concave shapes are offered. The Eclypse line includes four compacts, a mascara tube, and a lipstick case. Airtight Lipstick Case
A blue polypropylene lipstick case with a matte finish was created for Procter & Gamble's Cover Girl Slimline lipstick. To prevent the product from drying out, the cap and base are formed to create an airtight vacuum when snapped together. The "elevator" mechanism that raises the lipstick is made from an acetyl material that provides traction between the elevator and the lipstick. The Cover Girl logo is etched into a matte-foil ring. Felt-Tip Pens
Felt-tip pens for lipliner, eyeliner, and stains can be filled with vegetable-dye–based inks or custom formulas. Applicator styles include pointed tips, chiseled tips, and soft-touch tips that produce ultrathin lines. The pens can be made with stock or color-matched plastic, and in metal finishes. Window Compact
A clear window can be molded on any area of a compact's cover. The window and cover of the Ellipse compact are double-injection molded in one piece, eliminating the need to attach the window on a subsequent pass. Aluminum Tins
Aluminum tins with screw-on caps are available in various stock sizes. Insert designs are also offered. The caps can be provided with a mirror or a triseal liner. Nail Polish Sampler
A sample package for nail polish has a brush built in for convenient, single-use application. When the cap of the Nail Polish Sampler is removed, the brush becomes moistened with nail polish.
