The 34th international exhibition of perfumery and cosmetics, Cosmoprof 2001, will take place April 20Ð23 in the fairground district of Bologna, Italy. The event, which will be home to roughly 1700 exhibitors presenting innovative products for beauty professionals, will feature Cosmopack, the thematic exhibition dedicated to packaging for the cosmetic, personal care, and fragrance industries. In pavilions 19 and 20, more than 270 exhibitors from 22 countries are expected to show the latest innovations in materials, machinery, supplies, services, and technologies for packaging professionals. Other events and meetings taking place throughout the show will include a forecast of the consumption of cosmetic products for 2001Ð2003, to be presented by Prometeia on April 20 (invitation only); the Anteprima Makeup and Makeup Preview, a presentation of the latest trends in makeup, also on April 20; and the Accademia del Profumo 12th International Award gala and award ceremony, to be held April 22.
