Working Woman Magazine named Seal-It Inc., Farmingdale, NY, one of the top 500 US women-owned businesses for the third year in a row. Companies are ranked according to growth in sales. Kaufman Engineered Systems Reshapes Organizational Structure
Kaufman Engineered Systems, Waterville, OH, has designed a new effort called KES Direct to reduce lead times and improve the quality of the company's design and manufacturing techniques. Tom Monagan, general manager, says that KES Direct strategically utilizes the concept of workflow management. Mebane Packaging Wins at NPA Competition
Mebane Packaging, Mebane, NC, a Westvaco Packag- ing Resource, earned five awards in the 50th Packaging Competition sponsored by the National Paperbox Association. Among these were a Gold Award in the Pharmaceuticals category for Opcon-A Eye Allergy Relief and an Excellence Award in the Healthcare Products/Non-Pharmaceutical category for the AquaFresh Tarzan Promotional Toothpaste carton. The Packaging Competition annually recognizes excellence and creativity in the international rigid-box and folding-carton industries. Hueck Foils Signs Agreement with Genesis Packaging
George Thibeault, Jr., president, Hueck Foils, Wall, NJ, announced an agreement with Genesis Packaging, Orinda, CA, in which Genesis will represent and market Hueck Foils products. Genesis president and owner Jerry Johnson will be the primary Hueck Foils contact. The company will market the full line of converted flexible packaging materials for the pharmaceutical, nutritional, prepared food, beverage and confectionery markets.
GSI Lumonics Announces Sale of Xymark Laser
GSI Lumonics Inc., Kanata, Ontario, Canada, announc-ed the acquisition of its Xymark Laser package coding business, Hull, England, by Linx Printing Technologies plc, UK. Effective June 2, 2000, Linx acquired Xymark's operating assets for $8.9 million US. Filmquest Announces New Corporate Headquarters

Its present street address and all phone numbers will remain the same. An 100 percent increase in sales and a doubling of Filmquest's staff since 1999 resulted in this move.
Arkay Receives Award from Mary Kay
Arkay Packaging, Hauppauge, NY, received the Supplier of the Year award from Mary Kay, Dallas, TX. Arkay is a printer of paperboard folding cartons. The award is given based on cost comparison, quality, service and product development. Mary Kay normally chooses between two and six companies to receive the award, but "this year, Arkay is the only company selected by unanimous vote," according to Lane Burtz, vice president of purchasing, Mary Kay. He says that Arkay is "truly a superior supplier." During the ceremony, Arkay was also given a quality supplier certification for its Roanake, VA plant. Robert Lopez, manager of purchasing, Mary Kay, says that the award recognizes not only the quality of Arkay's products, but also the "extra effort and dedication to product, quality and service" by the company's employees. "We are proud of our winning team, "says Mitchell S. Kaneff, president and CEO, Arkay. "It's an honor to be recognized by Mary Kay as the key company that produces top quality, innovation and award-winning products."
Webcraft and ColorPrelude® Enter Agreement
The Webcraft Fragrance Group, North Brunswick, NJ, a provider of innovative fragrance sampling technologies, has signed a long-term sales and marketing agreement with ColorPrelude®, Baltimore, MD, a cosmetic and beauty product sampling company. They will bring new, jointly produced sampling capabilities to the fragrance, cosmetic and beauty care industries.
