High Gloss
Style tubes feature high gloss, pearl finish with maximum depth of color, but without the customary visible flow lines. As shown, this tube is complemented by an iridescent holographic foil plus the natural matte Design-R closure. The plastic squeeze tubes are available with a 1/2- to 2 3/16in. diameter and a 1/8- to 13 1/2fl. oz. capacity
Non-Collapsible Tube
The HDPE non-collapsible cosmetic soft touch 50ml tube is available in spray or treatment version. The treatment version stands in an upright position on its cap for easy dispensing. This packaging is appropriate for both fragrance and skin care products.
Transparent Solutions
Polyethylene tubes were chosen for the RenŽ Furterer hair gel range. Made from transparent plastic and fitted with a service cap, the tubes are offset printed in three colors including a gradation, and silk screen printing in three colors, including one pearlescent color. No over-packaging is needed as the tube stands upright. The transparent tube allows consumers to see the gel's texture.
Non-Chlorinated Packages
Non-chlorinated unit-of-use packages are now available. State-of-the-art printing processes are used to create high-resolution images. Foil hot stamping is also available in a wide assortment of bright metallics and holographic foils. The packages can house volumes ranging from 1.5- to 60cc.
Barrier Properties
Johnson & Johnson chose a tube from CCL Container for its RoC Retinol Actif Pur(tm). The tube includes a five-layer construction and a peelable foil orifice seal, all of which combine to satisfy the barrier properties required. Graphics include crisp copy and design elements in black, blue and red, with silver foil accents.
Wood Fiber Polymer
A wood fiber polymer composite is used as a unique tube solution for the cosmetic industry. The composite provides material characteristics that could not be attained using a traditional wood product. By mixing wood fibers with thermoplastic resins, increased tensile and flex modulus, lower processing temperatures and higher strength-to-weight ratios are provided.
Award Winner
Lancome's Vitabolic took top honors in the metal tube category during a recent competition held by The Tube Council of North America. The tube incorporates a unique cap and dispensing system. Before first use, the tube cap assembly is disengaged and an orange spacer ring removed. The user then reapplies the closure and, in doing so, pierces the protective neck seal allowing the product to flow into the plastic neck applicator orifice which has now locked onto the metal neck collar. The over-cap keeps the product fresh after opening. The tube is printed on a pearlized white with gold, gray and orange graphics.
